Abhay Deol is a first cousin of Sunny and Bobby Deol. Inspite of his famous filmi background, he made a quite debut with the movie Socha Na Tha in 2005. The movie unexpectedly met with critical acclaim and Abhay Deol was lauded for his realistic portrayal of the character of a rich and confused young man. His next big hit came with the movie Honeymoon Travels which went to become a success at box office. He continues to take on acting assignments for films which are not exactly 'Mainstream Bollywood Masala' fare. Abhay Deol has carved a niche for himself in the Hindi film industry, he believes in doing more character intense role and meaningful cinema. He surely brings a new direction and some fresh acting talent to Hindi cinema.
