Farida Jalal is an actress in Indian cinema. She started her career in the sixties when she won the United Film Producers Talent Hunt sponsored by Filmfare. She has almost never played a lead role. One of her critically acclaimed roles is in the film Bobby (1973) when she played the part of a mentally challenged girl. She received many accolades for her film Mammo (1994). Farida Jalal won the Flimfare Best Supporting Actress award for Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (1995). And she has acted in many television sitcoms as well.
