An excellent screen-adaption of G N Dandekar's novel, JAIT RE JAIT is a movie with Smita Patil playing the central character of a tribal woman who has to deal with divorce. The film depicts her struggle to come to terms with tradition in the clan. It revolves around a tribal caste 'Thakar'. However this is not a simple love story, this film tries highlighting all the traditions of the 'Thakar' caste.
