Gulabo is very different from other prostitutes and has a heart of gold. She listens to Vijay's poetry and falls in love with him. In the midst of this romantic setup, things go awfully wrong as Vijay is declared dead in a train accident. The real Vijay is thrown into a mental asylum for being persistent on his identity.
