Description
Raja Bhowmik, an uncompromising realist filmmaker wants to direct a film Nalok, named after a child-character from a Buddhist legend and based on a work by painter Abanindranath Tagore. After six years of married life Raja is not prepared to take on the responsibility of being a father, so his wife Sheela has left home. One day he discovers a boy in school uniform devouring pani-puris, and Raja thinks the boy is perfect for the role of the child in his film. But the boy's parents refuse Raja's proposal. The boy picks up a telephone at a grocer's shop and asks Raja to 'kidnap' him for six weeks and then return him to his parents. Crazy Raja takes him up on his word and the team sets off for their location in the forests of North Bengal. The whole team develops a solid emotional bond with the boy. Does the bonding with the small boy change Raja's mind about beginning a family?
