The film deals with a plot involving a couple which has been struck with misfortunes of the lower-middle class existence of Mumbai city. Ajay Kumar (Aamir Bashir) is an assistant writer in a TV serial and is aspiring to turn into an independent writer whereas his wife Sonia Singh (Sonal Sehgal) is a character artist in a serial coping to be film star. One day both of them are taken to an astrologer by a colleague of Sonia. The astrologer predicts that the couple is going to have a bright future in the coming seven days. Sonia has an affirm belief in this prediction, but Ajay constantly sniggers. Ajay ventures out as an independent writer for a film on the first day of the lucky 7 days, but the producer turns out to be a goon who constantly threatens him with his obstructions into shaping a plot. Ajay is scared as he is thrust with an initial amount with the condition to deliver the matter within the seven days. Sonia is elated with this sudden twirl in their life but Ajay scared of his fate that lies in the hands of the dreaded producer. With the passage of each day, the things get ugly for the couple when Sonia decides to shift to a lofty housing complex. Not able to refute his wife who is soaring high, Ajay decides to move. But the decision induces a roller-coaster experience in their life with each day posing a new difficulty to get the possession of the house. The so called lucky seven days bring so much trouble in the life of the couple that they land out of the house with a debt to clear, jobless and hopeless. Both decide to return to their hometown with an accepted wisdom that the city wasn't meant for them.
And the final zing to the day before it ends, the cell phone rings. The husband gets a call. What can it be? Will the Astrologer's prediction come true? Or is it a new whammy to end the tragic night? But the hope still lies 'Future To Bright Hai Ji'.
